Sibaya at a glance

Situated on the breathtaking northern coastline of KwaZulu-Natal is the peaceful Sibaya Coastal Precinct. With its name meaning ‘Kraal”, Sibaya has been developed around the green hilltops, in order to preserve the natural splendour of the valleys and coastal forest that are found here – “a place where people can live seamlessly with the natural world.”

Positioned conveniently between the popular resort towns of uMhlanga and uMdloti, Sibaya overlooks the calming waves of the Indian Ocean and indigenous forest dune for as far as the eye can see.

The region in which Sibaya is located enjoys a wonderfully rich history. From the days pre-dating King Shaka to the development of surrounding areas throughout the 1800’s – where there was once thicket, has now been developed into an aspirational residential and lifestyle node.

The history of the Sibaya Coastal Precinct itself can be traced back to  over a decade ago when the Tongaat Hulett Development started planning a proposed development zone – breaking ground in 2016.

Sibaya is conveniently located along the M4 and N2, in proximity to prestigious schools, amenities and a host of wonderful attractions and activities. It lies approximately 4km from uMhlanga Rocks, 10km from King Shaka International Airport and 23km from the Durban CBD – making it a convenient destination for those travelling to and from work.  This precinct is also easily accessible and is serviced by a network of arterial routes, which connects Sibaya to its surrounding areas – apart from its internal thoroughfares, these roadways include; the N2 Freeway, M4 Highway, and M27.

Mixed-Use Urban Development – Natural Lifestyle

Once completed, Sibaya will comprise a range of residential developments and estates, hotels, offices and recreational facilities – this will all strongly contribute to a live, work, play lifestyle that will be obtainable here.  Designed in this way, as a place where people’s lives can come together – this development has been created while being mindful of the environment. Sibaya actively encourages the seamless integration of an urban development and a natural setting – showcasing the developer’s commitment to establish low-density living.

Property Market

With several prime residential nodes located here, Sibaya is fast becoming one of the most desired residential areas along the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast – offering a wide range of property types at various price points.
